Mooring Buoy Refurbishment

2008 Mooring Buoy revitalization program is underway with the Buoys at Ellison Park being changed out in late May. The schedule for Buoy replacement is Ellison Park, Forestry Campsite, Agate Bay North, Agate Bay South and Fintry Light.

The hardware on the Buoys is being replaced and updated as required with the Mooring Chain eye nuts replaced with a heaver stock. The Buoys are being repainted and marked in accordance with Transport Canada Standards for Private Mooring Buoys.

Mooring Chain inspection and upgrading will require the services of Divers. Volunteer Divers can contact Ron Paziuk at 549-5086 or Dave Pollock at 558-9389.
